Sondagmiddae het ouma altyd na ete bietjie gaan le. 
Een middag toe tannie Omie omtrent 12 was, het sy en haar vriendin Bessie besluit om uit verveling agter die huis (wat vandag die M5 is), die veld te deursoek vir lee bottels. Dit kon hulle vir een pennie per bottel verkoop. Ouma het wakker geword en die twee meisies uitgevang. Bessie het huistoe gehardloop terwyl tannie Omie 'n goeie loesing gekry het. 
En die bottels? .... wel oom Sammy het hulle gevind en stilletjies gaan verkoop en die geld vir homself gehou. Al hulle harde werk verniet met 'n pak slae op die koop toe.
